Benue APC Delegates Injured in Bus Accident on Way to Rally

Several members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue State were injured on Saturday morning when their bus was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle. The accident took place in Lafia, which is just a few kilometers from the rally venue in Nasarawa State.

As of now, the exact number of injured delegates is not known. However, they were taken to hospitals in Lafia for medical care. Dan-Morgan Ihomun, the State Publicity Secretary of the Austin Agada faction of the APC, confirmed that there were no fatalities in the accident.

“The accident happened in Lafia and it involved two vehicles. But there was no loss of life. Those who sustained injuries have been rushed to the hospital,” Ihomun said.

This incident follows a similar accident that occurred a few months ago, where three APC delegates from Benue State lost their lives while traveling to Lafia for a party event. On March 25, 2026, a bus carrying delegates from Ogbadibo Local Government Area was involved in a crash on their way to the APC North-Central Zonal Congress, resulting in injuries to about ten others.
