Nollywood Actress Shaffy Bello Shares Commitment to Staying in Nigeria

Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has stated that she has no intention of leaving Nigeria, calling it her home and a place that shaped her identity. She made these remarks during a panel discussion titled “20+ Years in the Media: Real Talk with Kike @7.”

Bello acknowledged that while she was trained in America, it is Nigeria that has truly made her who she is. She emphasized her commitment to the country, saying, “I pray I never get the opportunity, as they call it, to go back.”

Despite the challenges in Nigeria, including issues with electricity, education, and healthcare, Bello sees many opportunities for young people. She encouraged them to invest in themselves and to recognize their own potential. “Look within yourself, what do you have to offer? What is in your hands?” she advised.

The actress also highlighted the importance of authenticity and dedication in building a successful career. She noted that being true to oneself has been key to her longevity in the industry. “If you lie, you keep having to remember the lies; if you tell the truth, it’s easy,” she explained.

Bello concluded by stressing the role of faith in her life, urging young people to “hold God tight” as they chase their dreams.
