Speaker Tajudeen Introduces PBAT Stewardship Account to Highlight Tinubu’s Achievements
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has announced a new initiative called the ‘PBAT Stewardship Account’ to highlight President Bola Tinubu’s achievements, especially in the northern region of Nigeria. This announcement was made during a meeting with the City Boy Movement at the State House in Abuja.
Tajudeen described the PBAT Stewardship Account as a detailed report of the projects, programs, and policies from Tinubu’s administration. He believes this framework could be an important part of Tinubu’s campaign strategy for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
During his speech, Tajudeen urged Tinubu to use this account as a standard for all officials in his administration. He emphasized the need for transparency, stating that the account will provide verifiable details about what has been accomplished in various regions, including Zaria Federal Constituency and Kaduna State.
The Speaker plans to hold a media briefing within the next two weeks to present this information. He aims to show not only the successes but also any shortcomings, stating that an honest account should acknowledge areas that need improvement.
Tajudeen highlighted a specific achievement: the opening of a 100-bed hospital in Zaria, which was completed through the administration’s Sustainable Development Goals initiative. This facility is expected to provide essential medical services locally, reducing the need for patients to travel far for treatment.
He called on all political officeholders under Tinubu’s administration to also present their performance reports to the public. Tajudeen stressed that those who hold a share of the President’s mandate owe it to the public to show what they have achieved.
