Police Arrest Two Suspected Cultists and Seize Homemade Gun in Ajah

Police in Lagos have arrested two men suspected of being involved in cult activities in Ajah. The arrests took place on Addo Road, where the police also recovered a homemade pistol.

The suspects, identified as Idris Rasak, 26, and Ibrahim Kazeem, 25, were taken into custody after police received tips about their alleged activities. During questioning, they reportedly admitted to being members of the Eiye Confraternity, a known cult group.

Following their confession, the suspects led police to the Waterside area of Addo, where the firearm was found. The police stated that this operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat cultism and violent crime in the region.

The police are continuing their investigation to understand the full extent of the suspects’ activities and to identify any other individuals who may be involved. Cult-related violence poses a serious threat to safety in various parts of Lagos, and authorities are concerned about its impact on local communities.

The Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, emphasized the importance of public cooperation in fighting crime. He encouraged residents to share any information that could help the police prevent violence and improve safety in their neighborhoods.
