Atiku Abubakar Promises Fuel Subsidy and Jobs at Kebbi Campaign Rally

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), held a campaign rally in Kebbi State on Thursday. He promised to restore fuel subsidies, enhance security, and create jobs if he is elected president in 2027.

During the rally, Atiku urged voters to support the ADC, claiming it is the only party focused on these key issues. He asked the crowd, “Do you want the return of subsidy? Do you want security? Do you want employment?” He emphasized that the ADC is committed to bringing prosperity, unity, and peace to Nigeria.

Atiku and his running mate criticized the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu, claiming that many projects being highlighted as achievements were actually legacies of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

Supporters gathered at the ADC’s secretariat in Birnin Kebbi to welcome Atiku and other party leaders. Senator Austin Akobundu, the Director-General of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, praised party members for standing strong against intimidation from the state government. He stated that the upcoming elections would serve as a referendum on the struggles faced by Nigerians under the current government.

The ADC National Chairman called on Kebbi residents to vote for Atiku as president and Abubakar Malami as governor in the 2027 elections. The rally concluded with the formal presentation of the party’s flag to Malami, who is the ADC’s candidate for governor.

This rally occurred shortly after a Federal High Court in Abuja ruled against the leadership of the ADC, led by Senator David Mark, and voided decisions made by the party’s executives. Atiku condemned the ruling, viewing it as an attempt to undermine his campaign, and announced plans to appeal the decision.
