US Offers $20 Million Reward for Information on Iran’s Nuclear Program

The U.S. government is offering a reward of up to $20 million for information about Iran’s nuclear program. This announcement was made by the U.S. military on Friday, as President Donald Trump emphasized that Iran is interested in negotiating to end the ongoing conflict.

The reward is part of a State Department initiative called Rewards for Justice. This program, which has been around since 1984, aims to gather information that can help protect American lives and interests. The U.S. Central Command stated that the reward could also include relocation assistance for individuals who provide valuable information about Iran’s nuclear facilities, equipment, and personnel.

According to the State Department, Iran has not been following international agreements regarding its nuclear activities. This has raised concerns about the country’s production and stock of crucial nuclear components. However, the U.S. did not specify what type of information would qualify for the $20 million reward.

President Trump claimed that U.S. military actions have significantly weakened Iran’s nuclear capabilities. He stated that if the U.S. had not intervened, the situation in the Middle East would be much worse. Despite the ongoing conflict, he noted that Iran is eager to reach a deal to end the hostilities.

Diplomatic efforts are currently underway to prevent further escalation of the conflict. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed that his government is still seeking a resolution through dialogue. Trump mentioned that there are still a couple of targets in Iran that he intends to address, including a site known as Pickaxe Mountain, which Iran denies is a nuclear facility.
