Sokoto State Governor Appoints Eight New District Heads

Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has appointed eight new district heads to fill traditional leadership positions that were vacant. This decision was announced in a statement from Sa’idu Maccido, the Secretary of the Sultanate Council.

The newly appointed district heads include:

• Salihu Kadadi as Sarkin Arewan Kadadi
• Isah Gidan Madi as Ausan Gidan Madi
• Gidado Dabagi as Sarkin Gabas Dabagin Ardo
• Hayatu Dallatu as Uban Kasar Tudun Wada
• Abdullahi Muhammed Danchadi as Sarkin Zamfaran Danchadi
• Umar Shehu Goronyo as Sarkin Gabas Goronyo
• Kabiru Marafa as Ajiyan Tsaki
• Muhammadu Buhari as Ardon Wajake

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, will conduct a formal ceremony to recognize these new leaders at a later date.

The Sultanate Council congratulated the appointees and expressed hope that they will fulfill their roles effectively, contributing to the peace and development of their communities.

Additionally, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Sokoto congratulated Hayatu Dallatu, one of its members, for his new role as the District Head of Tudun Wada. The NUJ expressed pride in Dallatu’s appointment and the trust placed in him.
