Ogun State to Launch Major Industrial Park by Lee Group in November 2026

Ogun State is preparing for a significant industrial development as Lee Group, a multinational company, plans to build a modern industrial park on 450 hectares near the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, close to Makun Village and the Sagamu Interchange. Governor Dapo Abiodun will kick off the project with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

This initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to attract large-scale investments, increase industrial capacity, and create job opportunities. The industrial park will host 29 factories and include commercial and recreational facilities, contributing to Ogun State’s industrial growth and appeal to investors.

The factories will produce various items, such as footwear, leather goods, plastics, packaging materials, personal care products, and household items. Additionally, the park will feature conference halls, hospitality services, and leisure amenities to support business operations.

Its strategic location along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is expected to provide easy access to major consumer markets in Ogun and Lagos states, as well as serve as a gateway to markets across West Africa. The project aims to create both direct and indirect jobs, boost commercial activities, and offer business opportunities for local suppliers and service providers.

This development aligns with the Abiodun administration’s focus on industrialization, investment promotion, infrastructure development, and job creation. Ogun State’s closeness to Lagos, along with its good road connections and existing industrial clusters, enhances its attractiveness for manufacturing and other investments.

The groundbreaking event will officially mark the start of this project, adding to Ogun State’s growing industrial landscape and its goal to become a key manufacturing and distribution hub in Nigeria and West Africa.
