Kwara’s 2027 Governorship Race Heats Up with Multiple Candidates in the Mix

Recently, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq appointed Alhaji Mashood Mustapha, a former cabinet member, to lead the state’s delegation for the 2027 Muslim pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. This appointment has raised eyebrows, especially since Mustapha was previously the PDP candidate for the Kwara Central senatorial district before the party selected another candidate.
