Free Medical Outreach Provides Care to Residents in Minna

A free medical outreach took place at the palace of the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Faruk Bahago, allowing residents to receive medical care without any fees for consultations or medications.

Many attendees, like Hassan Abdul, expressed their gratitude for the service. He shared his experience of having his blood pressure checked, consulting with a doctor, and receiving medication for his health issues. Hassan praised the organization of the event and the dedication of the medical staff.

Another participant, Mairo Muhammad, attended the outreach seeking help for her eye problems. She was pleased to receive medical attention after hearing about the free services available. Mairo also had her blood pressure checked and expressed her appreciation for the support provided by the organizers.

The outreach was organized by the Karnati Foundation in partnership with Mohammed Jamuje, a candidate for the Niger State House of Assembly. Musa Abubakar, the Chairman of the Karnati Foundation, stated that this event was part of their ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access for vulnerable communities.

Abubakar noted that the foundation began its work during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since expanded its services to include education, agriculture, and food support. This outreach marked the foundation’s seventh medical event in Minna, with expectations of serving between 1,500 and 2,000 residents.

The program offered basic health checks, consultations, and medication for various conditions, including diabetes. Patients needing further medical evaluation were referred for additional care. Abubakar emphasized the importance of community service and the foundation’s commitment to making a positive impact in people’s lives.
