BUA Cement Gives ₦12 Million to Families of Eight Victims of Sokoto Road Crash

BUA Cement has donated ₦12 million to help the families of eight people who died in a road accident in Sokoto State. Each family received ₦1.5 million as financial assistance after the crash, which involved a commercial minibus carrying 13 passengers and a BUA Cement truck.

The accident reportedly resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including a child. Company representatives visited the affected families in Tambuwal to deliver the donations. They were joined by local leaders, including the District Head of Tambuwal, Alhaji Ahmad Dahiru, and the Chairman of Tambuwal Local Government Area, Hon. Abba Shehu Tambuwal.

The traditional ruler and the council chairman praised BUA Cement for its generous support. They noted that even though the company’s truck was not blamed for the accident, the donation showed a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility. They encouraged other organizations to assist communities impacted by such tragedies.

While the financial support cannot replace the lives lost, the leaders acknowledged that it could help ease some of the immediate burdens faced by the families. They prayed for the deceased and expressed hope that the company would be rewarded for its kindness.

This donation comes at a time when the affected families are dealing with their loss. It also emphasizes the importance of collaboration among businesses, traditional leaders, and local governments in providing support during emergencies.
