APC Leader Declares North-West Support for Tinubu in 2027 Presidential Race

Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has announced that the North-West region supports President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. He expressed confidence that Tinubu will win a second term.

Kwankwaso made these remarks during the official launch of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna on Saturday. He noted that the large crowd at the rally showed strong support for Tinubu as the election approaches.

Speaking to reporters at the VIP Pavilion, Kwankwaso said, “Today, we of the North-West geopolitical zone have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for. Our choice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our commitment to a better Nigeria and national cohesion.”

He emphasized that the rally was not just a political event but also a chance for the North to show its commitment to national unity and development under Tinubu’s leadership. Kwankwaso believes that Tinubu’s presidency will help ensure fair distribution of resources across the country’s six regions.

“Tinubu’s presidency stands for fair and equitable distribution of resources to all zones, and his return will be a blessing to the greater Nigeria of our dream,” he said.

Kwankwaso rejected claims that northern support for Tinubu was based on political convenience. He insisted that the region would remain loyal to the President in the upcoming election, stating, “Asiwaju is the northern candidate, and we are trustworthy people, and we shall deliver him come 2027.”

He called on political leaders and Nigerians to focus on national unity and collective progress, highlighting the support Tinubu has among parts of the North-West ahead of the presidential election.
