The 18th edition of The Headies Awards has been postponed to April 10 and 11, 2027, in Toronto, Canada. The event was originally set for October 23, 2026, but the organizers announced the new dates on their official Instagram page.
The change aims to provide more opportunities for engagement within the music and creative industries. During the time originally planned for the main ceremony, the organizers will continue activities under the “Road to the Headies” initiative. This initiative will include workshops, seminars, and other industry events leading up to the awards.
The organizers also expressed their apologies to guests who had already made travel plans for the October event, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the change.
The Headies is a significant music awards platform in Nigeria, celebrating outstanding achievements in the music industry and honoring artists and professionals in entertainment.
