Tinubu Appoints Abdullahi Ango as Mandate Secretary for FCTA Youth Development

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Abdullahi Suleiman Ango as the Mandate Secretary for the newly established Youth Development Secretariat within the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

This announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday by Anthony Ogunleye, the spokesman for the FCT Minister.

Ogunleye highlighted that the appointment is strategic and marks a significant milestone in the administration’s ongoing efforts to prioritize youth development and empowerment in the Federal Capital Territory. The Youth Development Secretariat will provide the administrative framework to coordinate youth-related matters in the FCT.

According to the statement, the secretariat will serve as an essential platform for implementing youth policies and programs, including training for skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Ogunleye further stated that Ango brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to youth advocacy to this important role.

“His extensive background in public administration and his previous contributions to youth empowerment initiatives make him an ideal choice to lead this new secretariat. He is from Kuje in the FCT and holds a BSc in International Studies from ABU Zaria, a master’s degree in International Relations from Nasarawa State University, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Peace and Conflict Studies from Nasarawa State University,” the statement read.
