StreetPay App Launches to Simplify Payments Without Account Numbers
StreetPay, a new digital payments app, has been launched in partnership with 9 Payment Service Bank. This app allows users to discover payees, request payments, and manage transactions without exchanging account details.
Dr. Yemi Ipadeola, the app’s founder, explained that StreetPay aims to make everyday payments easier. Users can find nearby payees and vendors while shopping or paying for services. Ipadeola questioned the need for account numbers in transactions, emphasizing that payments should be straightforward.
One of the app’s features, called Post Bill, enables individuals and businesses to send payment requests for various expenses, including school fees. Recipients can review these requests before deciding to pay, which gives them more control over their finances.
In addition to payment features, StreetPay includes a free Robotic Essay Assessment System. Users can submit essays for evaluation and receive scores. Those who perform well may have the chance to compete in live events. The app also features GiveBack, a program linked to the essay system, which is hosted by Nigerian actor Jide Kosoko.
