Saraki Opens Massive 500-Laptop Tech Hub Built by Bauchi PDP Guber Candidate

Thousands of students and young tech enthusiasts in Bauchi State are set to benefit from a brand-new digital hub following the official commissioning of a 500-seater Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre in Azare.

The state-of-the-art facility, established by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the state, Alhaji Usman Adamu Ahmed Suphi, was unveiled by former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki. Represented at the launch by former PDP National Chairman Abubakar Kawu Baraje, Saraki lauded the initiative as a visionary step toward converting Nigeria’s large youth population into a formidable economic asset.

Equipped with hundreds of brand-new laptops, robust Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, and modern digital accessories, the centre is designed to do far more than host computer-based examinations. Stakeholders note that it will serve as a launchpad for digital literacy, software training, artificial intelligence skills, and global marketplace access.

Speaking during the inauguration, Suphi explained that the project stems from a deep commitment to human capital development through the Assufiyya Humanitarian Foundation. He emphasized that communities cannot rely solely on government intervention, calling on private partners and public stakeholders to heavily invest in youth empowerment.

PDP factional National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed also praised the project, describing the hub as an “incubator for innovation” that will effectively tackle local unemployment by giving young Nigerians the tools to compete globally from Bauchi State.
