Olubadan Gives Free Food and Cash to 5,000 Christians and Muslims for Ramadan and Lent
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has shown great love to his people by sharing food and money to over 5,000 residents today. The event, which happened at his house in Bodija, was organized to support families during the Ramadan and Lenten seasons.
Even though food prices are high, the King made sure that both Muslims and Christians went home with heavy bags of rice, beans, and other food items. His wife, Olori Rashidat Ladoja, helped him share the gifts and told the crowd that the King has been doing this for 20 years, long before he wore the crown.
“Baba Ladoja loves his people,” she said. She explained that because both Ramadan and Lent are happening at the same time, it is a perfect chance for everyone to show love and peace. Many people who received the gifts were very happy and thanked the King for helping them during this difficult time.
The King also asked everyone to keep praying for peace in Ibadan and Nigeria. By giving to everyone regardless of their religion, the Olubadan has shown that Ibadan remains a “Home of Peace” for all.
