Ogun State Gubernatorial Candidate Promises Infrastructure Improvements

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has promised to improve infrastructure across the state if he wins the 2027 election. He made this commitment during a recent tour of Ifo Local Government Area, where he met with community leaders and stakeholders.

During the meeting, Adeola outlined his plans to ensure accountability and involve residents in government decisions through annual town hall meetings and media engagements. He emphasized that Ifo, a key area between Ogun and Lagos states, would be a focus for infrastructure development.

Adeola highlighted his experience as a senator and his role as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, stating that he understands the development needs of Ogun State. He mentioned that he has already facilitated at least 16 infrastructure projects in Ifo, including road construction, school buildings, and police stations.

He pointed to a recent project, a 12-classroom block at Methodist High School in Arigbajo, as an example of his commitment to education and community development. Adeola expressed his determination to extend similar projects to other areas of Ogun State if elected.

While seeking support for the APC in the upcoming elections, he urged residents to vote for President Bola Tinubu and other party candidates. Adeola believes that ongoing infrastructure projects, such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Ogun Deep Sea Port, will enhance Ogun State’s economy and create jobs.

Adeola also praised current Governor Dapo Abiodun for his efforts in state development and promised that his administration would maintain regular communication with the public to ensure transparency. He reiterated his commitment to community engagement and accountability if elected.
