Obi and Kwankwaso Gather NDC Governorship Candidates in Major Coalition Strategy Session

Former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have held a strategic closed-door session with Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidates from across the country as political realignments gather steam ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The high-level meeting brought together state-level flagbearers, national party leaders, and campaign strategists to align national and state campaign structures under the newly consolidated NDC banner.

Addressing the governorship candidates, Peter Obi stressed the importance of unity, disciplined organization, and grassroots outreach. He urged state leaders to prioritize issue-based campaigning focused on economic restoration, security, and human capital development, reminding them that the NDC coalition was formed to offer Nigerians a transparent, accountable alternative to current economic challenges.
