“NLC Commends Governor Nasir Idris for Effective Palliative Distribution, Lowering Food Prices in Kebbi State”

The Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed its appreciation for Governor Nasir Idris’ efficient allocation of palliatives across the state. The NLC credits this distribution for a noticeable reduction in the prices of essential food items throughout Kebbi.

In a statement released by Mr. Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, the NLC’s Chairman, Alhaji Murtala Usman, conveyed their gratitude in a letter dated October 19, addressed to the governor. The message read, “On behalf of the entire leaders and members of NLC, Kebbi Council, I wish to write and register our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Your Excellency for the successful flag-off and distribution of palliatives to both civil servants and the general citizens of Kebbi State.”

Usman further acknowledged the positive impact of the palliatives, stating, “No doubt, the palliatives distribution has brought down the prices of foodstuff in the markets, cushioned the effects of subsidy removal, and uplifted the economic status of households in Kebbi. We thank you once more for the successful distribution mechanism of the palliatives by your administration. We wish you Allah’s protection and guidance.”

The NLC’s commendation underlines the governor’s efforts to alleviate economic challenges faced by the people of Kebbi State through the strategic distribution of essential provisions.
