Brazilian goalkeeper Fabio leads the list with 1,449 appearances, having started his career in 1997 and playing most of his games for Cruzeiro.
Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton comes in second with 1,387 games played from 1966 to 1997. He played for several clubs, including Leicester City and Nottingham Forest. Cristiano Ronaldo is third on the list with 1,343 appearances, making him the highest-ranked outfield player. He has played for clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid, and he continues to add to his total.
Messi ranks sixth with 1,215 games, having played 778 for Barcelona, 75 for Paris Saint-Germain, and 117 for Inter Miami, along with his international matches for Argentina. Luka Modric is ninth with 1,178 appearances, including 597 for Real Madrid.
Other notable players on the list include Brazilian goalkeeper Rogério Ceni with 1,226 games and former England goalkeeper Paul Bastock with over 1,297 games. Legendary figures like Gianluigi Buffon, Roberto Carlos, and Ryan Giggs are also included in this elite group.
