Musa Kwankwaso: North-West Will Support Tinubu in 2027 Elections

Dr. Musa Kwankwaso, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, stated that the North-West region will strongly support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. He made these comments during the official launch of the APC campaign in Kaduna on Saturday.

Kwankwaso highlighted the large turnout at the rally as a clear sign of Northern support for Tinubu. He said this event has put to rest any doubts about the North’s position in the upcoming presidential race. “We of the North-West geopolitical zone have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for,” he remarked.

He emphasized that the gathering in Kaduna was not just about political mobilization but also sent a strong message to other regions about the need to unite behind Tinubu for the country’s progress. Kwankwaso believes that Tinubu’s presidency could lead to fair development and better distribution of resources across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Kwankwaso also rejected the idea that the North’s support for Tinubu was simply a transactional relationship. He insisted that the region has a duty to uphold its political commitments and remain united in backing the President as the 2027 elections approach. He referred to Tinubu as the northern candidate and expressed confidence that the North would deliver votes for him.

He called on all Nigerians, especially political leaders from different regions, to see the growing support for Tinubu as a move towards national unity and collective advancement, rather than just political gain. Kwankwaso concluded by reaffirming that the North has already made its choice.
