Katsina State Launches Distribution of Learning Materials for Primary Schools
The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (KTSUBEB) has started giving out EiDU learning materials to public primary schools in an effort to improve basic education in the state. This program focuses on students in Primary One to Primary Three and includes nearly 3,000 textbooks for 30 selected schools.
The goal of this initiative is to provide teachers with modern teaching tools while helping young students develop their reading, writing, and math skills. During the launch event on Tuesday at Ahmadu Commasie Primary School in Kayalwa, Katsina, KTSUBEB’s Executive Chairman, Kabir Magaji, called this program a major step towards ensuring that every child has access to quality education.
Magaji explained that the EiDU learning materials were designed to enhance classroom teaching and help students build strong foundational skills for their future education. He emphasized that investing in quality learning resources is one of the best ways to improve educational outcomes in public schools.
He urged headteachers to make sure the textbooks are distributed properly and used only for their intended purpose, highlighting the importance of these materials in benefiting students and improving classroom instruction. Magaji also reiterated the commitment of Governor Dikko Radda’s administration to enhance basic education through ongoing investments in teaching resources and support programs.
The launch event was attended by members of the KTSUBEB Board, local education officials, school administrators, and other stakeholders in education. The distribution of these learning materials is part of KTSUBEB’s broader mission to create a better learning environment and equip young students with the skills they need for lifelong learning and success in school.
