Juju Fail! Native Doctor Who Promised Mali the AFCON Trophy Arrested for ₦60 Million Scam After Team Gets Knocked Out!

A famous traditional healer in Mali has found himself in a prison cell instead of a palace after his “spiritual contract” to win the AFCON for his country ended in a total disaster.

The healer, who claimed to have a “direct line” to the spirits, reportedly convinced a group of rich football fans to cough up €33,500 that’s about ₦60 million to perform rituals that would make the Mali national team “untouchable” on the pitch in Morocco. He promised that no matter how well the other teams played, the “Eagles” of Mali would bring the trophy home.

But things went south very quickly. After Mali was kicked out of the tournament, the angry businessmen who paid the bill didn’t go to the stadium to complain—they went straight to the police station.

Detectives in Bamako moved fast, arresting the healer at his shrine. They found that this wasn’t his only “job”; he had allegedly been using his reputation to trick many others into paying for “miracles” that never happened.

While the healer is now facing serious fraud charges that could land him in jail for years, the story has become the talk of the town. Many fans are laughing at the victims, saying, “If juju could win AFCON, every country would have ten trophies by now!”

The police have used this case to warn citizens to be careful of “miracle workers” who ask for millions in exchange for things that only hard work and a bit of luck can achieve on a football field.
