Jandor Presents 34 Grounds of Appeal Challenging Sanwo-Olu’s Election Win

PDP Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Abdulazeez Adediran (Jandor), Appeals Election Tribunal’s Verdict

Dr. Abdulazeez Adediran, also known as Jandor and the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, has announced his appeal against the judgment of the Lagos State Election Petition Tribunal that affirmed the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

This announcement was made through a statement issued by Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, Head of Media and Communication for the Jandor for Governor Campaign Organization. Adediran revealed that he had filed a comprehensive 34-ground appeal dated October 13, expressing his dissatisfaction with the tribunal’s verdict.

Adediran argued that the tribunal’s judgment was marred by legal irregularities and called upon the Court of Appeal to overturn the decision. He contended that the tribunal had misapplied the law and reached an incorrect conclusion when it dismissed his petition challenging Governor Sanwo-Olu’s eligibility for the March 18 gubernatorial election.

The basis of his petition hinged on the provisions of Section 177(c) and 182(1)(j) of the 1999 Constitution. Adediran emphasized that his action underlines his unwavering commitment to bring a new era of governance to Lagos State by ensuring that the constitution and electoral laws concerning the election of a genuinely qualified governor are upheld.
