Real Betis celebrated a strong performance on Sunday, defeating Osasuna 5-2 in a Spanish league match. This victory allowed them to climb to third place in La Liga, just above Real Madrid and level with Atletico Madrid.
Isco, a veteran midfielder, played a key role in the win, scoring two goals. He first converted a penalty after Rodrigo Riquelme was fouled. Ez Abde also scored, giving Betis a solid lead.
After halftime, Ante Budimir accidentally scored an own goal, extending Betis’s lead to three. Although Osasuna’s Budimir later scored for his team, Isco took advantage of a loose ball to score his second goal. Jose Morante added another goal for Betis in stoppage time.
Coach Manuel Pellegrini praised Isco’s performance, highlighting his skill and experience. Pellegrini noted the importance of maintaining control during the game, as Osasuna almost made a comeback.
In other La Liga matches, Valencia drew 2-2 with Racing Santander, and Real Sociedad edged out Deportivo La Coruna 3-2. Meanwhile, league leaders Barcelona continued their perfect start to the season with an 8-0 record.
