The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, commenced a crucial diplomatic meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Blinken’s arrival at the State House, around 6:50 pm, was marked by a warm reception at the forecourt by key officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuga, and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

The agenda for the visit includes bilateral discussions between Blinken and President Tinubu. Following these talks, the U.S. Secretary of State is scheduled to depart for Lagos at approximately 10 pm, where he has additional engagements slated for Wednesday. Subsequently, Blinken is set to conclude his visit to Nigeria by departing for Angola later tomorrow night.”
