APGA Warns Members Against Voting for Peter Obi and NDC in 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has issued a warning to its members regarding the upcoming 2027 elections. In a statement released on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, cautioned against voting for Peter Obi and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that such a vote would harm APGA.

Opara raised concerns about Obi’s loyalty to APGA, questioning why Obi has opposed the party in past elections. He asked why Obi has candidates ready to compete against APGA in every election cycle, despite the party’s role in his political rise.

According to Opara, APGA believes that Obi has consistently aimed to undermine the party that supported him. He stated, “A vote for Peter Obi and the NDC is a vote to kill APGA.” The party emphasized that there is no agreement between APGA and NDC regarding power-sharing.

Opara also highlighted APGA’s support for President Bola Tinubu, noting that it is based on the belief that Tinubu has contributed significantly to the development of the South-East region. He urged members to remain loyal to APGA, asserting that the party is a vital political force in Anambra state.
