He is seeking Tinubu’s removal from office based on allegations of certificate forgery and perjury, among other charges.
Atiku argued that the certified deposition made by Caleb Westberg on behalf of CSU disavowed the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2023 presidential election. He believes that the presentation of a forged certificate to INEC by a presidential candidate is a serious constitutional matter that should be considered by the courts, which are the guardians of the Constitution.
