Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso Engage Lagos Traders in NDC Mobilisation Efforts

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, are in Lagos for a town hall meeting and to engage with local stakeholders as part of their campaign efforts.

Kwankwaso visited the busy Kantangua Market in Alimosho, where he spoke with traders and groups supporting the party. He also addressed issues in areas affected by recent market controversies, aiming to strengthen grassroots support.

A video from the visit showed a large crowd gathering around Kwankwaso, chanting the names “Obi! Kwankwaso!” This shows the enthusiasm among supporters as the NDC ramps up its activities.

This visit comes shortly after a security incident in Calabar, Cross River State, where Obi’s convoy was reportedly attacked during a town hall meeting. Obi condemned the attack, which happened near a local stadium and hotel. Despite this, the NDC continues its political outreach, insisting that their efforts will not be hindered.

Before arriving in Lagos, Obi also visited Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to honor his late friend, Chief Okey Ezeibe, at a memorial service. He was joined by Funso Doherty, the NDC’s governorship candidate for Lagos State.
