Orijin Celebrates Nigerian Culture at Ofala Festival 2026 in Onitsha

Orijin, a well-known bitters brand, took part in the Ofala Festival in Onitsha, Anambra State, on October 16 and 17, 2026. This festival is one of the most important cultural events in southeastern Nigeria, celebrating heritage and community identity.

As the Official Gold Sponsor, Orijin aimed to connect traditional customs with modern social experiences. The brand’s involvement highlights how traditions can evolve while still being celebrated. The festival opened with Iru Ofala, where the Obi of Onitsha, dressed in royal attire, performed a traditional dance and blessed the kingdom.

Orijin set up a brand stand at the festival, allowing attendees to engage with the brand while influencers shared the event’s highlights online, reaching a wider audience. This digital presence helped showcase the festival’s cultural significance to those who could not attend in person.

As the day transitioned to evening entertainment, the Orijin Beer Village became a hub for music and social activities. Festivalgoers enjoyed performances by artists like Prof. Onye Egwu, blending traditional and modern entertainment.

On the second day, Azu Ofala continued the festivities with various cultural groups and traditional rulers participating. Their involvement emphasized the community’s commitment to preserving the festival and its traditions.

Dorcas Mashingil, a Senior Brand Manager at Orijin, expressed pride in supporting the festival. She noted that Ofala symbolizes the strength of heritage and community, allowing people to celebrate their shared identity.

The Ofala Festival serves as a vital cultural platform that connects generations and keeps traditions alive. Orijin’s participation reflects its dedication to engaging with the communities and customs that shape Nigerian culture, showing how heritage can thrive alongside contemporary life.
