Bruno Fernandes’ Home Burgled While He Played in Italy

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, had his home in Cheshire, England, broken into while he was in Italy for a match against Como. The burglary took place on Wednesday evening, October 21, 2026, according to reports.

Fernandes was away with his team when the incident occurred. Fortunately, his family was not at home at the time. The intruders reportedly spent less than five minutes inside the house before the police arrived.

Cheshire Police responded after a neighbor reported seeing three unknown men in the back garden of a nearby property. While the police confirmed that a burglary had taken place, they did not disclose the identity of the victim.

Detective Inspector David Jarvis from the Macclesfield Proactive Criminal Investigation Department stated that the investigation is still in its early stages and that they are working hard to find those responsible.

Manchester United is supporting Fernandes in light of the incident. This burglary is part of a troubling trend, as several footballers have had their homes targeted while they are away for games. Other players like Ruben Dias, Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez have also experienced similar break-ins.

Manchester United lost the match against Como with a score of 4-1 on the same day.
