Chelsea’s Reece James Successfully Undergoes Knee Surgery
Chelsea captain Reece James has successfully undergone knee surgery, according to the Premier League club’s announcement on Friday. The 26-year-old player has missed the last two league matches, including a 3-0 loss to Brentford and a 5-1 victory against Bournemouth.
James was absent from the match against Bournemouth while doctors assessed his injury, which he sustained during training. The club’s statement confirmed that surgery was necessary for his recovery.
He has already begun his rehabilitation and will receive support from the club’s medical team at their training facility in Cobham.
Chelsea is currently in sixth place in the Premier League and is preparing for their upcoming match against Everton.
