Flooding Hits Port Harcourt After Days of Heavy Rainfall

Port Harcourt, in Rivers State, is facing significant flooding after about three days of heavy rain. Various neighborhoods, including New G.R.A., Eliozu–G.U. Ake Road, Eneka, Elimgbu, Odili Road, SARS Road, and parts of Rupokwu, have been affected.

In some areas, water has become stagnant, while other locations are seeing serious flooding. Residents are particularly worried, especially in the Eneka area, where floodwaters are reportedly entering homes.

Videos shared on social media show residents in distress, calling for help as their homes are overtaken by water. An eyewitness described the situation as alarming, especially for those already facing rising water levels.

As the rain continues, there are fears that more communities could be affected. Residents are urging for immediate assistance, particularly in areas where flooding has disrupted daily life.
