President Tinubu Tasks Nigerian Muslims to Embrace Tolerance and Humility as Eid-el-Maulud Begins

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian Muslims to use the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud to reflect deeply on the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and integrate his core values into their daily lives.

In a presidential statement released by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended warm congratulations to the Muslim community, emphasizing that the celebration of the Holy Prophet’s birth should serve as a period for spiritual introspection rather than mere merrymaking. President Tinubu highlighted essential lessons of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness that citizens must embrace to foster national progress.

The President also appealed directly to religious leaders across the country to use their pulpits to advocate for peace, unity, and nation-building. Tinubu urged faith leaders to guide their congregations toward translating spiritual teachings into active civic duty while offering intense prayers to overcome security threats and socio-economic afflictions affecting various parts of the nation.

Additionally, President Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to show compassion during the festive season by extending generous support to the poor, vulnerable, and less privileged. The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a peaceful and secure nation, expressing confidence that collective prayers and shared moral values will guide the country through its current challenges.
