Meet the 15 Candidates Vying to Lead the State of the Living Spring

The stage is set for an intense electoral battle in Osun State as 15 candidates from various political parties lock horns for the coveted seat at Bola Ige House.

Following the release of the final candidate roster by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties have intensified their grassroots mobilization, town hall debates, and door-to-door campaigns across all 30 local government areas.

At the center of the political arena is incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking a second term to consolidate his administration’s infrastructure, civil service welfare, and community development projects. Adeleke faces a formidable challenge from the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Oyebamiji, a former commissioner and experienced financial expert campaigning on economic revitalization and institutional efficiency.

Also commanding significant attention is the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), former Osun State House of Assembly Speaker Najeem Salaam, who brings considerable legislative experience and grassroots political capital to the race.

Beyond the frontline trio, the ballot features a dynamic field of contenders representing parties such as the Accord Party, Action Alliance (AA), African Action Congress (AAC), Action Democratic Party (ADP), and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), among others. These contenders present diverse manifestos ranging from agricultural industrialization and educational reform to enhanced local security architectures and digital entrepreneurship for young residents.

With sensitive election materials safely distributed to secure storage hubs and comprehensive security cordons established across all senatorial districts, the electorate is poised to make their voices heard at the polling units to determine the leadership of Osun State for the next four years.
