2Baba Announces Release Date for New Album ‘Oldest Young Man’ After Six Years

Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, has announced that his new album, titled ‘Oldest Young Man’, will be released on November 27, 2026. This will be his first studio album in six years.

2Baba shared the news on his Instagram account, describing the album as timeless music. He wrote, “The legacy continues. OLDEST YOUNG MAN drops 27.11.26. Timeless music, no expiration date.”

The announcement follows months of hints on social media, where he often referenced the album title in his posts. In August, he teased fans by saying, “I’ve lived it, I’ve seen it, I’m still here. My new album, Oldest Young Man, soon come.” He also referred to himself as the “forever the oldest young man” on his birthday.

This upcoming album marks 2Baba’s first release since ‘Warriors’, which came out in 2020. Over the years, he has become a key figure in Afropop music, influencing many Nigerian artists.

2Baba gained fame in the 1990s, starting his career by composing jingles and later co-founding the music group Plantashun Boiz. His notable albums include ‘Face 2 Face’ (2004), ‘Grass 2 Grace’ (2006), and ‘The Ascension’ (2014), among others.
