Yari and Idris Urge Northern Voters to Support Tinubu for 2027 Elections
Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has joined Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris in advocating for the South to complete eight years in the presidency. They made this statement during a visit to the Emir of Gwandu’s palace in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
The two leaders are urging voters in the North West and the entire northern region to support President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming presidential election set for January 16, 2027. Their visit aimed to pay respect to traditional leaders and seek their blessings and prayers.
Governor Idris emphasized that Kebbi is a stronghold for the APC and expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to continue leading the country. He dismissed contrary opinions circulating on social media and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to the APC and Tinubu’s re-election.
Idris stated, “The North has spent eight years in power; it’s only fair to allow the South to complete its term.” He highlighted the importance of unity and fairness in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Senator Yari echoed this sentiment, stating that allowing the South to complete its eight years is essential for lasting peace and unity in the country. He praised Tinubu for his achievements in various sectors, including the economy and security.
The Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, also expressed his support for Tinubu, calling him a capable leader. He urged the public to recognize the President’s efforts to improve their lives.
Before leaving Kebbi, Governor Idris hosted Yari and the campaign council members for a private lunch and a courtesy visit.
