UTME 2025: JAMB Warns Centres Against Night Registration Over Safety Concerns
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a strong warning to registration centres across Nigeria against conducting nighttime registrations for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement released on Sunday by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, the board expressed serious concerns about the safety of candidates participating in nocturnal registrations. The affected centres were directed to cease the practice immediately.
“While JAMB appreciates the dedication of these centres to accommodate as many candidates as possible, the safety and security of the candidates must never be compromised,” Dr. Benjamin said.
JAMB identified ten centres involved in the practice, including:
- Thomas Adewumi University, Kwara State
- CBT Centre Otukpo, Benue State
- Ebenezer International School, Rivers State
- Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel
- Lafiagi Emirate Information Hub, Kwara State
- Zulqud Consult Ltd, Abuja
- Klinnicapps Academy, Cross River State
- Sani Mikaila Comprehensive College, Plateau State
- Beeps Technology Ltd, Cross River State
- FZX Media Consulting Ltd, Cross River State
The board stressed that this warning would be the final notice, cautioning that violators would face disciplinary measures without further announcements.
Reaffirming its commitment to a transparent registration process, JAMB urged centres to prioritise candidates’ safety over financial incentives.
“JAMB will not tolerate any breaches of registration guidelines. Appropriate measures will be taken against centres involved in exploitative or questionable practices,” the statement read.
The board also assured that it would continue monitoring the registration process to uphold integrity, fairness, and compliance with established regulations.
