Tinubu to Launch APC Presidential Campaign Council on October 14
President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council on October 14 at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This event is part of the preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Key figures expected to participate include former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, and Dr. Betta Edu, among other party leaders. Yari, who is also the Director-General of the campaign council, shared details about the inauguration after meeting with the President.
According to Yari, the President has approved a campaign timetable, starting with a rally in Kaduna on October 24. Following this, there will be additional events in Port Harcourt and Maiduguri.
In preparation for the campaign, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Dr. Betta Edu have begun efforts to mobilize women across the country. Their goal is to engage 40 million women voters for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket by reaching out to communities and polling units nationwide.
The upcoming inauguration aims to formalize the campaign council’s activities and unite party leaders to coordinate efforts for the upcoming elections. The APC is working to strengthen its political organization and mobilization as the election date approaches.
