Police Nab Three Suspects with Fresh Human Head and Organs in Oyo; Suspects Confess to N6m ‘Money Ritual’ Deal in Ibadan
A horrifying discovery on the Ogbomoso-Ilorin highway has once again exposed the dark underbelly of ritual killings in the region. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Oyo State Police Command paraded three men caught with a fresh human head and other body parts packed inside a travel bag.
The suspects were traveling in a commercial vehicle when they were flagged down by a routine patrol team. According to police sources, the men became visibly agitated during the search, prompting officers to inspect their luggage more closely. Inside, they found the gruesome remains, which the suspects later admitted were harvested from a victim in a nearby forest.
During preliminary questioning at the Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, the lead suspect claimed they were promised ₦6 million by a herbalist in the state capital to deliver the “materials.” He expressed regret, claiming that poverty drove him to join the syndicate. “We were told this was the quickest way to change our lives,” he told reporters while being paraded.
CP Femi Haruna has vowed that the “long arm of the law” will reach the person who ordered the parts. He urged the public to be more vigilant and to report any suspicious neighbors, noting that “community policing is the ultimate solution to these silent crimes.” As the investigation continues, the police are working to identify the victim and determine if this group is linked to other missing person cases reported in the state over the last month.
