Keyamo Takes on Legal Role, Defends Tinubu at Tribunal

Consolidated Petitions to Begin Definite Hearing Today, May 30

Former Minister of State for Employment, Festus Keyamo, made his first appearance in court on Tuesday during the ongoing sessions of the Presidential Election Petition Court. Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Spokesperson for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, appeared in his legal robe to defend President Bola Tinubu.

The definite hearing was scheduled to commence on May 30 after the court consolidated all the petitions before it during the previous adjourned date. The consolidation was done to facilitate a speedy hearing since many of the grounds raised by the petitioners are similar.

Appearances were already underway for the case involving the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) versus the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, Shettima, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Kabiru Masari.
