Funeral Plans Announced for Late Nollywood Actor Francis Duru

The family of the late Nollywood actor Francis Duru has shared the funeral arrangements following his passing. The services will take place in Abuja and his hometown in Imo State.

According to a statement on Duru’s official Instagram page, the first service of songs will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 5 PM. This event will take place at Family Worship Centre, located on Idris Gidado Street in Wuye, Abuja.

A second service of songs is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2026, at the family compound of the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State. The burial will follow on Friday, December 11, 2026, at the same location.

Francis Duru passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 59, after struggling with an undisclosed illness.
