Flavio Bolsonaro’s Plane Makes Brief Stop in Ecuador on Way to Unknown Destination

Flavio Bolsonaro, a defeated right-wing presidential candidate from Brazil, recently made a brief stop in Ecuador. This occurred on Wednesday after he fled Brazil and traveled to Argentina, according to reports from Argentine authorities.

Bolsonaro boarded a private flight operated by Baires Fly S.A., accompanied by his wife and two daughters. He arrived in Argentina on Tuesday night, despite a court order that prohibited him from leaving Brazil.

The flight took off from Puerto Iguazu in northeastern Argentina shortly after midnight and landed in Guayaquil, Ecuador, just before 4:00 a.m. local time. After a short stop, the plane continued its journey, although Bolsonaro’s final destination remains unclear.

The U.S. State Department has indicated that it will provide visas to Bolsonaro and his family, which may suggest they are planning to travel to the United States.
