Buhari’s Farewell Address: Nigerian President to Speak to the Nation on Sunday

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to deliver a farewell broadcast to the Nigerian people as he concludes his tenure as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The broadcast will take place on Sunday, May 28, at 7 am. The announcement was made by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity. Adesina urged television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets to tune in to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria to broadcast the address to the nation. The farewell broadcast is expected to provide an opportunity for President Buhari to reflect on his time in office and address the Nigerian people before the transition of power to the newly inaugurated President, Bola Tinubu.

As Buhari steps down, he will pass the responsibilities and leadership of the country to Tinubu, who will assume the role of President, tasked with addressing the pressing challenges and advancing the interests of Nigeria and its people.
