Banking for All: UBA Rewards Customers with N150 Million Promo to Drive Financial Inclusion
In a major push to deepen the culture of savings and expand financial access, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced the launch of the fifth edition of its SuperSavers Promo. The nine-month-long campaign is designed to reward both new and existing customers, with the bank poised to give away over N150 million in cash prizes to approximately 1,500 winners nationwide.
The promo, which runs from September 2025 to May 2026, is a key part of the bank’s strategy to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria. Financial inclusion is the effort to ensure that individuals and businesses have access to useful and affordable financial products and services. UBA’s initiative aims to bring more unbanked and underbanked individuals into the formal banking system.
During a press conference held in Lagos to flag off the campaign, the Group Deputy Managing Director of UBA, Chukwuma Nweke, highlighted the broader economic significance of the initiative. “Saving in the life of a nation is very important because we need to plan our lives,” Nweke said. “Savings help families and individuals plan for their children’s education, buy homes, set up businesses, and meet optimal needs in their lives.” He added that by curating different savings programs, the bank is enabling people to not only plan for their future but also stand a chance to win prizes.
The promo is designed with a variety of qualifying criteria to accommodate different customer segments. For instance, customers with a UBA Bumper Account can qualify for the monthly draws with a minimum deposit of just N5,000. Other savings account holders can qualify by making a minimum incremental deposit of N10,000 monthly for three consecutive months. In a special effort to reach those with inactive accounts, dormant account holders can also qualify for a dedicated monthly draw simply by reactivating and funding their account with N10,000.
