Bandits attack: NLC Kaduna condoles TUC over death of NEC members

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kaduna State Council, on Wednesday, condoled the Trade Union Congress(TUC), over the death of its Secretary General, Comrade Barrister Musa Lawal Ozigi and the Chairman Kwara State, Comrade Akinsola Akinwunmi during the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.

DAILY POST recalls that bandits attacked Kaduna- Abuja train, killed eight passengers, wounded 26, while several others were Kidnapped.

Among those killed were; Chairman Kwara State, Comrade Akinsola Akinwunmi, TUC Secretary General, General, Comrade Barrister Musa Lawal Ozigi and six others.

Following this ugly incident, the NLC State Chairperson, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman, described the killings as not only barbaric but ridiculous to the Nigeria state as a nation and government must not give them another chance to attack the train or motorists on our roads.

According to the statement, It’s really unfortunate that the Abuja-Kaduna train attack happened two days after the International Airport Kaduna was attacked, adding that government at all levels and the security agencies need to do more.

NLC while commending security agencies for their prompt action during the attack, appealed that more efforts should be put in place to address the reoccurrence of such ugly act.

It extends it’s condolences to the government of Kaduna State and the families of those who lost their loved ones during the attack.
