Alhaja Khadijat Oyinlola Majolagbe has been honored with the title of Asiwaju Adeen by the Islamic League of Nigeria Central Mosque. The ceremony took place at the Sam Shonibare Playing Ground in Surulere, Lagos.

The event was attended by notable figures including Alhaji Chief Muhammed Babatunde Bakare, the President of the Islamic League of Nigeria, and Sheikh Muhammad Rajee Sulaiman El-Imam, the organization’s Chief Imam.

After receiving her title, Alhaja Majolagbe expressed her commitment to fulfilling the duties associated with her new role. She thanked the council of Imams and others who supported her. Majolagbe, a retired chemist, emphasized her desire to help young people pursue careers in science and other professional fields.

“I am used to helping others. Although I have retired, I intend to support people who are doing well and pursuing careers in science so that they can become scientists like me, or become medical doctors or engineers,” she said.

Yusuf Oladimeji Majolagbe, a family member and former Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers, highlighted that the title carries responsibilities beyond mere recognition. He stated that it is a call to serve God and humanity, and to promote peace and unity.
