Akpabio Explodes Over Benue Political Drama; Disowns ‘Fake’ Team Using His Name to Share Appointments!

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has officially “washed his hands” of the political fire currently burning in Benue State. In a strongly worded statement, the nation’s number three citizen warned politicians to stop using his name to play “power games” in the Middle Belt.

The trouble started when a group calling itself “Team Akpabio for Tinubu” began popping up in Benue, reportedly handing out “appointments” and claiming to have the backing of the Senate President. But Akpabio isn’t having any of it. His office has made it clear that this group is a “ghost organization” and has absolutely nothing to do with him.

“The Senate President is too busy with the work of the Nigerian people to be involved in local politics in Benue,” his spokesperson stated. The message was simple: anyone using Akpabio’s name to cause trouble or influence who leads the APC in Benue is doing so on their own.

For months, the APC in Benue has been split into two camps, and it seems someone tried to use Akpabio’s “big name” to tip the scales. By disowning the group, Akpabio is sending a signal that he is staying neutral in the fight between the state’s top political players.

The Senate President’s team has now warned the public to ignore any “letterhead” or “appointment” coming from people claiming to represent him in Benue, calling it a scam designed to deceive the unwary.
