ADC Rejects Backroom Endorsement Deals, Says Nigerians Will Decide Next Election

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that the outcome of Nigeria’s upcoming elections will be determined strictly by the Nigerian electorate, firmly dismissing the notion that former President Olusegun Obasanjo or any group of elder statesmen can dictate the nation’s political future.

Reaffirming its commitment to democratic principles, the opposition party insisted that political authority resides with the people at the polling units, not inside the private living rooms of retired political leaders.

The party’s position comes amid heightened political realignments and intense public debate surrounding high-profile consultations, coalition negotiations, and endorsements by prominent elder statesmen attempting to influence top political tickets.
